Short answer

Acordar lets you pair an iPhone alarm with a push-up target. When the alarm rings, open the challenge, place your full body in camera view, and complete the selected reps. Start low, clear the floor, and choose squats instead if push-ups are not safe for you.

What a push-up alarm can and cannot do

It can replace a one-tap morning action with a task that requires posture, attention, and movement. It cannot guarantee that you wake up, compensate for insufficient sleep, or decide whether push-ups are medically appropriate for you. iOS also retains system-controlled alarm stop actions.

Prepare the space before bed

Use form you can repeat safely

Warm muscles and joints are not guaranteed first thing in the morning. Move with control, use a modified variation if appropriate for your ability, and stop if the movement causes pain. A low target completed consistently is more useful than an ambitious target that invites unsafe form or makes you disable the routine.

Set up a push-up alarm in Acordar

  1. Add or edit an alarm and select Push-ups.
  2. Choose a small repetition target for the first several mornings.
  3. Test camera placement while awake so your body is visible.
  4. When the alarm rings, tap Start Challenge, move into the prepared space, and complete each counted rep.
  5. Finish within the wake window to record the morning as successful.

Camera frames are processed on the iPhone. Acordar does not save photos or video and requires no account.

When squats may be the better choice

Choose squats if you do not have a safe clean floor, cannot frame a horizontal body position, or should avoid push-ups. The best challenge is the one you can perform safely and consistently without creating a new reason to ignore the alarm.

Frequently asked questions

How many push-ups should an alarm require?

Start with a small number you can perform safely with good form. The goal is a repeatable wake-up action, not an exhausting workout.

Does Acordar save video of the push-up challenge?

No. Camera frames are processed on the iPhone for body-pose counting; photos and videos are not saved or uploaded.
